SIM Consultants LLC, doing business as SIM Financial Services ("SIM," "we," "us"), respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through simfinaz.com, our phone line, text messages and our services, how we use it and the choices you have.

  • Contact information you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number and business name, when you book a call, fill out a form, join our newsletter or contact us.

  • Financial and tax information you provide so we can deliver bookkeeping, payroll, tax preparation and advisory services.

Tax return information is used and disclosed only as permitted by federal law, including Internal Revenue Code Section 7216.

 

Text messaging (SMS)

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive text messages, we may text you about appointments, document requests, account updates and customer service.

  • No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

  • All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

  • We will never ask you to send your Social Security number, bank account numbers or tax documents by text. Please use our secure file-sharing portal instead.

 

How we protect your information

We maintain a Written Information Security Plan (WISP), designed to comply with the FTC Safeguards Rule and IRS security expectations for tax professionals, and we review it at least once a year. Our safeguards include:

  • Access to client information limited to authorized individuals, and only as needed

  • Collecting and keeping only the information we need

  • Strong passwords and multi-factor authentication where available

  • Reputable, secure tax software and cloud storage providers, with encryption for sensitive files where available

  • Secure file-sharing tools instead of unsecured email or messaging for sensitive information

  • Secure storage of paper records, and shredding when they are no longer needed

  • Keeping records only as long as required for business or legal purposes, then securely deleting or destroying them

If a security incident affects your information, we will act promptly to secure our systems and notify you and the authorities when the law requires it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

 

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email.

  • Opt out of text messages by replying STOP.

  • Ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by contacting us. Some records must be kept to meet legal and tax requirements.

 

Children's privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last changed.
